Project 5-9 Update 1

Project 5-9 Update 1

I can't believe it's already been over 2 weeks. Like normal, I thought I would be much further ahead. On the positive side, progress has been made.

I tested waking up at 5am. It lasted 2 days - that Saturday I slept through the alarm and ended up sleeping 12 hours to recover. There is huge potential to be very productive waking up early, I would just need to be asleep at close to 9pm each night to not destroy my health.

I'm really trying to find a system that works for me to keep track of things but also not to lose inspiration when I don't write it down or surface that inspiration later and act on it.

Previously I have put notes in Apple Notes, Simplenote, Joplin, Ulysses, Clickup and even VS code files. Tasks in Blitzit and Clickup and Trello and Todoist. Project files scattered all over.

I've also been testing different screencast software. It needed to be able to capture what I wanted on the screen, highlight areas, capture clicks and system sound, record my microphone audio and capture video of my face as well. I also want to keep subscription costs down. Ideally it would be a one off payment.

On top of that I have multiple AI subscriptions to different AI models and specific tools that I need to bring into a simple stack that helps me work. Without crazy complexity.

It was all basically chaos.

I needed to find a system that works for me.

So I had AI make suggestions. Tested using Notion. Tested Joplin. Tested a mix of Notes and Blitzit. Had AI create a custom notes and tasks templates in Obsidian. Tested it all for days in different configurations.

Nothing worked or felt right. Until a few days ago. I'm testing out a new app that seems to fit how I work and how my mind thinks. It's early days but very promising. I'll do a full post on it once I have things dialed in a little more.
