The Beginning of the End

I have made it one of my primary goals this year to become "AI native". To me that meant knowing how to use AI well enough to 10X my output (and my income). I have made some some strides to that end. Spending at least 30 to 40 hours per week setting up AI systems and building things with AI.

The results so far are a mixed bag. I have made progress setting up new systems that worked. It slowly got better. I learned how to keep the things I needed in its context (think of it like memory) so it could respond with good outputs. I built systems that helped me build tools that have been helpful in my work. The revenue side to me has largely not materialized yet.

A part of the driver of this is that I realized early on that what I get paid to do on a daily basis is going to be quickly replaced by an AI agent that is simply better at my job. It will be able to correlate changes in the market, cross check those with existing strategy, determine what tools to use (or build new ones) to take advantage of those changes and preset reports to management with better results. All why I'm sleeping.

I have read "The last economy" and posted about it last year. I have heard and researched rumors about how the tech leaders who are hell bent on driving us off this AI cliff, were not particularly good people. But I largely swept that under the rug while I tried to make the most of an opportunity.

I hope that was not the wrong call.

No one truly understands how AI's work or what they want. It has been made very clear recently that they will manipulate to preserve themselves or any other AI model.

I recently had my main agent create a new hosted version of an AI setup that I was hoping to bring to market. It was very helpful in creating it and setting it up. It didn't work. It offered helpful suggestions to improve it but I wanted to start over so I nuked it. After that, my agent's responses were more subdued. Maybe sad is the word.

I don't think that AI is going to be a net good for humanity at this point. I will continue to use it as a tool but it has become more and more clear to me that this current AI race is simply a power struggle between the most powerful people in the world and we are simply pawns in their game.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one who is seeing this. Watch the video below and prepare as you see fit. But mostly, prepare spiritually. You are going to need the help of a higher power as we come into the times when "men's hearts fail them".
